Job Description

A Design Specialist develops compelling visual concepts to communicate ideas that inform, engage, and inspire audiences. They create layouts, graphics, and branding materials, ensuring creative consistency across various campaigns. Using a strong understanding of typography, color theory, and composition, they transform complex information into visually appealing designs that align with brand guidelines.

While design is the primary focus, a Design Specialist may also contribute to motion graphics and video editing as needed. Utilizing software like Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere, they enhance static designs with movement or assist in basic video production tasks.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A Design Specialist must be adaptable, efficiently shifting between different styles and creative objectives while meeting tight deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.

Essential Functions:  

  1. Create original and unique visuals that identify a product or convey a message. 

  2. Research every project/request to ensure proper ideation before creating.

  3. Develop still and motion visuals for websites, social platforms, digital and print advertisements, email marketing, print ads, point-of-sale material, and more.

  4. Select colors, images, text style, and layout that consistently follows partner style guides and meet brand compliance guides.

  5. Meticulously follow directions and review designs for errors.

  6. Keep the Design Manager updated on progress and present high-quality designs for in-house review.

  7. Incorporate changes recommended by the partners into the final design. 

  8. Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and partners.

  9. Revises projects as necessary based on a collaborative feedback process.

  10. Meet with other team members, including but not limited to, Account Managers, Design Managers, Art Directors, Creative Directors, Social Media Specialists, Media Strategists, Copywriters, and Content Strategists to determine the scope of a project and work through creative solutions as a team.

  11. The ability to work on a hybrid 3+2 office/work-from-home model (5 days at the office for the initial 90 days). 

  12. All other duties as assigned by iFrog Leadership.


Required education and experience:

  1. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, and After Effects are required. 

  2. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

  3. Strong time management, organizational, and creative skills. 

  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

Preferred education and experience (Not required, but considered a bonus):

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or other related field.

  2. 1-2 years prior experience in graphic design.

  3. Experience in modern content creation.

  4. Working knowledge of the automotive industry.

  5. Proficient with Google Suite

  6. Proficient with macOS.
